Giving Back

GIVING BACK

"Happiness Comes When Your Work And Words Are Of Benefit To Yourself And Others." - Buddha
Giving back can be done throughout our lifetime. It does not entail we first must become wealthy in financial riches to do so.

We can donate our time and energy. And our learned skills. If you don’t have money, you can always give time and whatever service, and I did that. I had modest means, so I couldn’t make large donations, but I contributed what I could afford - my skillset.

My trait of giving was following in my parents' footsteps. As a minor seeing them sheltering an elderly traveling couple left an indelible mark in my memory. Back then, my father and mother didn’t have much money, but they were generous.
It formed the foundation of my compassionate nature. I grew to love assisting others. And it is something I have done throughout my life.

I learned from my folks before any church teachings. Thereafter, I receive training from people in our community. Such teachers were my school or college tutors, our older relatives, neighbors, and community uncles and aunts.

So, it behooves us to give back. There are multitudes of humans who gave so much in one way or another to shape our lives.
Giving and receiving is how life evolves! Thus giving in its many forms, impacts lives in our local communities, society, and globally. We can use our resources to make the world a better place. And at the same time retain a sustainable society.

This is having a sense of compassionate duty, teaching the importance of giving back to society, however much or little one has.  We can affect the quality of life for the better.

Our giving can be volunteerism, donations, charity, philanthropy, benevolence, or humanitarianism. Or the many names we choose to use.

Our giving adds to the overall grand scheme of things. Whether it is a kind word, a smile, a pat, a prayer, or a heartfelt message in a text or video message. We do our part every day to bless one another in all these wonderful ways.
Remember love comes in many languages. To return in kind is divine. God is Love!

This work of giving back keeps me going and makes me feel like I’m making a real difference in the world, in the lives of other people, and a better world for future generations.

When I think about the service I’ve rendered and see all the good things it’s done for others, for people in need, and for our communities, no part of me wishes I had held onto it for myself.
The well-being of our planet depends on us. Now I invest more of my time focusing on humanitarianism, caring for the environment, and land and species conservation. And the ongoing habitability of Earth - the goal of keeping the optimal conditions for life.

When we focus on the protection of our Earth’s natural ecosystems: land, air, and water, and support indigenous wildlife, it helps us find peace.

Our Earth - our home - is a living organism, a natural ecosystem as a living, breathing whole. It is a wonderful diversity of life.
We should not wait for our leaders to get their act together to solve global problems. We can create solutions alongside one another with whatever technological and ideological tools we can utilize.

We should work, side by side to save our biosphere and our civilization. So, let's continue to build and leave a richer legacy, and feel the joy of giving back to this creation and the Creative Intelligence of LIFE!

Environmental consciousness runs deep in Swedish culture. Green is also the mindset of the people, too. Sweden is known for its emphasis on high participation in recycling and sustainability:

Sweden's Path to Sustainability includes Green Living and Recycling.
Sweden's commitment to sustainability is a way of life. This country's recycling revolution has turned its waste management into a resource. Which includes innovative programs that import waste from other countries for energy production.

Green living is evident in this nation's urban planning, transportation, and energy solutions.

Initiatives like "The Stockholm Green Plan" have set ambitious goals for a carbon-neutral future. This is reflecting Sweden's dedication to preserving the planet for generations to come.
