Hi, I am Kazim Abasali.
My 1st Website/Blog was "Empower with Art".
This is my 2nd Website/Blog under my own name.
The reason for my change of heart is that I had a 2nd stroke. And initially, my memory and some basic human skills were greatly affected.
Working full-time in information technology was not possible as I did before. So, I permanently removed my 1st major Website/Blog - "Empower with Art".
This was because I could not remember important information on my sites.
My Health Situation
In 2012 while living in Brooklyn, New York, I got an ischemic stroke. An ischemic stroke occurs when blood clots or other particles block the blood vessels in the brain.
Eventually, I got over that.
Then in 2021, I got a hemorrhagic stroke. An artery in the brain ruptured caused by high blood pressure. So, there was bleeding in the brain.
Overcoming
As of Sunday, April 9th, 2023, I am in a wheelchair since the 2nd stroke in 2021. I am doing rehabilitation every day to overcome this situation. I always think positively. And healing is possible with a healthy mindset.
Going Forward
Going forward, I am living a minimalistic lifestyle.
And I am being peaceful. Relaxing, letting go, and letting God.
Sharing My Journey With You / Lessons I Have Learned
Before that, I worked in an IT virtual assistant role. I was considerably into the computer and technology field.
I am self-taught and embrace free and open-source software paying for such and giving back continuously.
After I got a 2nd stroke which greatly affected the right side of my body, and put me in a wheelchair, I then recently began realizing and learning new truths.
The body has more important functions which it does during sleep than during waking hours.
Body Functions Differently During Sleep
When a person is in a state of sleep, theta waves with a frequency range of 4-7 Hz are associated with several different mental and physical states, including creativity, intuition, memory, and emotional healing.
Improving memory and learning, and increasing feelings of well-being and creativity.
Now, I go to bed early, before 9 pm, and get my whole quota of sleep AND rest.
In the early morning, I am totally refreshed, renewed, rejuvenated, and recharged.
I am now energetically and delighted to do my envisioned day’s goals.
A Bit More Info I Learned
Music Therapy Can Help Reduce Anxiety.
Music therapy provides a safe and engaging environment for such individuals to explore and express their emotions.
Different types of music therapy techniques are used to achieve this:
Relaxation Music promotes relaxation. Slow, calming melodies, with natural sounds like rain or ocean waves, achieve a state of calmness and reduce anxiety.
Music-assisted Relaxation Techniques use music in combination with breathing exercises, and progressive muscle relaxation.
And Now My Journey Continues
Creating Relaxing, Healing Music
To promote relaxation and stimulate alpha brain waves, one must consider using a tempo between 60-80 beats per minute, which is similar to the natural rhythm of the human heartbeat.
This is designed to promote relaxation as well as healing.
A Minimalist Lifestyle
Intentionally living with fewer possessions — focusing only on the ones we need.
After all, what can we take with us when we transition?
A way to simplify our lives. Only own items that serve a purpose in our lives.
Many of us decide to live a minimalist lifestyle to live peacefully.
Our Thought Process
It starts with our thinking or our thought process. And starting with our mindset is the beginning of our journey. So start thinking along the lines of having less or the bare essentials to bring about contentment and serenity.
Benefits Of Minimalism
- When we eventually become aware that we need less will also help us save money as we will only buy things we definitely need.
- We become less attached to our belongings.
- We develop a more sustainable way of life.
- Breathe easier with our surroundings in harmony with ourselves.
