Our Path Of Life
What is your path of life? Is there a choice?
At a very tender age, do we make our own choices?
Or are we led by outside influences?
Influences
Influences play a vital role in our lives.
The 1st one that comes to mind is our parents or guardians.
Maybe as we grow up, things may change. Or our habits (good or bad) may get in the way.
Or unforeseen circumstances may play a part. Such as the death of a guardian or relocation. These are major situations, especially if they occur at an early age.
Relocation is a process that involves packing belongings, transferring them to a new location, and settling in. It can range from a local move to a long-distance or even international relocation.
These factors play a role in our choices.
Education
Education has been a mixed bag for me personally.
To educate oneself is about using your education to, in turn, help others. Like being a teacher, a guide, a coach, or a counselor.
For most of my life I have pursued several alternate education paths. Formal education I did for my primary and secondary education.
Thereafter, I did what worked for me, forgoing traditional education.
Ivy League schooling never appealed to me, nor did prestigious schools.
It was learner-centered or experiential learning, where I had more freedom in my learning process.
Such schooling is often characterized by student-led learning, project-based learning, minimal formal structure, and a focus on individual needs and interests, offering tuition-free options and being very flexible.
When we take things into our own hands, we often follow a specific curriculum or use a combination of resources.
Technical trade school was my 1st choice after my secondary education. It was electronic engineering technology.
I did correspondence courses in electronic music technology and electronic engineering technology.
Further classes and courses I did in community schools.
Present Educational Trends
With the advent of computers and the internet, I came alive.
Most of the countless courses I do now are online. I have racked up hundreds of courses in computer-related subjects, coding or computer programming, website development, music, art, publishing, and numerous other topics.
Whatever free courses are available online, I do with passion almost every day. Video courses are my favorite. I learn best by seeing things done in action.
On any day I am learning something new. YouTube is my teacher of choice.
Learning something new every single day is how I function.
I feel excited about researching new subject matter. Such is my individual walk of life.
Various online resources, support groups, and organizations exist to assist us in our selections.
I am a hands-on learning kind of person. I love it!
I seek out learning paths that offer a self-paced, mastery-focused learning environment with a focus on individual learning needs.
You learn to fully understand whatever subjects you are studying.
I focus on my holistic development, emphasizing creativity, artistic expression, and connecting with nature.
My choice of education is on par with any of the highest institutions, for I am specially educated.
My skillset affords me many opportunities as a creator for professionals.
With that said, I am depended on for expert assistance. All over the world, I am called upon to work. I am a virtual assistant.
A feeling of serving others is a rich contribution to society the world over.
Not Formal
I do not need to have my educational qualifications assessed to determine their equivalency to seek degrees through credential evaluation.
Being not the traditional type of person, I do not care for degrees or letters after my name.
I choose to remain humble, open-minded, and selfless.
As a Christian, all glory and praise belongs to God.
Giving Back
That way, I seek out how I can support and grow with others. As someone who uses my God-given resources. I want to share my blessings with those that need my services.
Those of us who think in terms of seeking to enlighten, inspire, and educate.
My life has always been about helping others, instilled in me at a very young age by the examples of my loving parents and community uncles and aunts.
I am happy with my lot, always learning, being industrious, positive, charitable, and modest.
I am truly thankful for my parents and teachers.
And those who took me under their wings and gave me sustenance and shared their wisdom with me.
I am forever grateful to my benefactors.
